The new Kelowna Corvette Club (K.C.C.) was formed in 1995 and hopes to make owning a Corvette both enjoyable and fun for all members. One of the first things K.C.C. did was to join the Canadian Council of Corvette Clubs - Western Region (C.C.C.C.-W.R.) , which is an association of Corvette Clubs from Manitoba to Vancouver Island. C.C.C.C..-W.R. is basically a sanctioning body that handles the rules, guidelines and insurance to bring clubs in Western Canada together. As a club, or individually,  we travel to out of town events hosted by other Corvette Clubs, exchange Corvette information, and are in contact with other clubs throughout North America.

We participate in three major events - concours/shine & show, rallye, and slalom. In concours/shine & show and slalom events, cars that are similar are placed in a class for judging. In the rallye everyone is equal. Awards are awarded in all events.

In coucours d'elegance every part of the car is judges, including paint, fit, wear and finish. Of overall importance is the cleanliness of the vehicle. Shine & Show is a less competitive event where cars are judged for appearance and cleanliness.

The rallye consists of a driver and navigator driving a road course following a specific set of instructions. There are questions to be answered along the way which can be found on road signs, advertising signs and landmarks. There is a time limit and set distance involved. It is a lot of fun entering a rallye where one can also enjoy some sightseeing.

The slalom is the one event where driving skills are exercised. The vehicles are driven through an obstacle course set up in a parking lot with traffic cones. Each car is timed as to how fast it can maneuver though the course. Any cones hit are added to the driver's time. The vehicles are separated into classes, therefore you get individual class winners for men and ladies as well as fast time of the day on street tires and R1-tires.

To compete in these events, club members travel from Manitoba to Vancouver Island. There have even been the brave who travel as far south as Death Valley and as far north as Edmonton and Fort St. John.

B.F.Goodrich is a major sponsor of Corvette Clubs in Western Canada so we try to patronize our local B.F. Goodrich store whenever possible.

K.C.C. is also involved in numerous social activities, including BBQ's, day runs, pool parties and car shows for sponsors, and skiing to mention a few. Anyone interested in our club and its activities please contact the president.
